Wellington  0 - 0  Bishop Sutton

On a glorious sunny afternoon Sutton traveled to Wellington having played well in previous games but failing to get that elusive win their football deserved. Playing uphill first half Sutton’s defence looked solid and with Burborough up front holding the ball up well with the midfield of Jacobs and Farrell providing good support. Chances for both sides were limited as both sides could not capitalise on good approach play and struggled with the final ball in the final third of the pitch and at half time it was 0-0.
The second half started with Wellington pressing forward but the defence of Tyres,  Andrews, Bailey and Monelle held firm . The one clear chance Wellington had was when their forward was clear inside the box but Blammon came swiftly off his line to make a great save. In the final minutes Dumphy latched on to a great ball, rounded the keeper but then his effort was easily cleared by the Wellington defender. Another clean sheet and a point on their travels is not a bad return against a Wellington side who will be difficult to beat on their own ground. If Sutton continue with this fine form it will only be a matter of time before the first win is secured

Bishop Sutton  1 - 1 Welton Rovers

Yet again, Sutton controlled most of this game but were unable to convert their chances, Sam Payne went close from long range and Tom Jacobs almost scored from a free kick which the Rovers keeper was made to make a great save. New signing Grant Monelle looked strong and fitted in with Sam Bailey and Adam Tyers in defence. The Rovers keeper had plenty to do and did well to keep Sutton out before the break which ended 0-0.
Sutton continued to control the game in the second half and it was difficult to see why Welton Rovers were higher in the league table. Liam Peart worked hard up front and created a chance for Dumphy who blasted the ball at the Rovers keeper who could only block it back to Rob Dumphy who cracked the ball into the net to give Sutton a very deserved lead, just after Leon Britton went close with a header. It looked like Sutton would hang for the first win of the season until a harsh penalty was given against Sam Bailey for a handball which Rovers converted just 3 minutes from time. The Rovers keeper was the man of the match.

Corsham Town  1 - 0  Bishop Sutton

This was a game of two halves with Sutton the stronger of the teams in the first half, playing some great football, Sutton pressed forward, Jacobs went close with a flick on from Bridgman’s free kick which just went past the post, Bridgman then made the keeper save from 30 yards. Adam Tyers found Dumphy who only had the keeper to beat but could not get past him and the first half finished 0-0.
Sutton came out in the second half not looking as energetic and Town started to bombard the Sutton defence line with the long ball hoping that their two quick strikers would latch on but Andrews & Tyers stayed strong. Sutton did push forward at times but could not create that all important chance in front of goal. Town pushed down the right and poor marking by the Sutton midfield allowed Town to score what was a gifted goal. Adam Tyers was unlucky not to head in from short distance in the last minute as the ball went just over the bar.
